Send us the IRS collections work. Keep the client.

Who it's for

For CPAs, enrolled agents who don't handle collections, tax preparers, bookkeepers and bankruptcy attorneys at small firms.

Chad Mangum, EA, handles IRS collections. Send him that work and keep doing what the client came to you for.

What happens to a client you send us

Start with a free 15-minute call. We reply within one business day.

Then a $395 IRS transcript review, pulled with their signed permission, with an answer in writing.

Then one flat fee for the work, agreed before it starts. Any fee the IRS itself charges is separate.

They know what is possible before they pay for the work.

You keep the client, the prep and the books. Chad takes the IRS mess.

What you get back

With the client's OK, we tell you what happened. You can keep looking after their tax prep and bookkeeping with that information in hand.

Accountants, tax preparers and bookkeepers also get a referral fee: $50 when a client you send buys our $395 IRS transcript review, and $150 more if that client hires us for the resolution work. We pay at the end of the month after the client's payment clears. If you're a CPA, your rules may require you to tell the client about the fee, and may bar it for some clients, such as ones you audit. Check your rules before accepting it. We don't pay referral fees to attorneys.

How to send someone

Choose whichever is easiest:

  1. Email spencer@kba.tax with the client copied. Get the client's OK first, and leave tax records and account details out of that email. This is the surest way to get credit for the referral.
  2. Have the client take the 3-minute check at kba.tax/quiz and reply to their result email with your name.
  3. Book a call at kba.tax/book.
